2025/2026 HHYA Basketball Registration is Open

Haddon Heights Youth Athletics Basketball programs are available for families from Haddon Heights and other local communities.

There are three basketball divisions to choose from:

• Travel (4th - 6th grade) | Season: mid-November 2025 to start of March 2026
  
• Intramural (3rd - 6th grade) | Season: mid-December 2025 to end of February 2026
• Clinic (K - 2nd grade) | Season: January/February 2025

Program details are below. NOTE: Availability of these programs is dependent upon parent coach volunteers.

Travel Basketball (4th - 6th grade for residents of sending districts to Haddon Heights High School only) 

• Travel is offered for boys and girls (separate divisions) who are seeking to play competitively in the Inter-County Basketball League (ICBL) or South Jersey Boys Basketball League (SJBBL). 
  
• The number of teams  per age group will depend on registrants and player assessments to be held at end of October. 
• Teams of up to 10-12 participants have weekly games and practices that vary in time and location.
• Families should plan for up to four (4) events per week between practices and games.
• Players receive a basketball and a long-sleeved shooting shirt. Uniforms are provided and returned after the season.
• Travel basketball practices will begin in early November, with games kicking off December 5, and the season concluding by the first weekend in March.

Intramural Basketball (3rd - 6th graders)

• For participants who want to have fun while learning the fundamentals of the game.
• Younger ages will get a mix of instruction and modified games, while the older ages will compete in game settings.
  
• Teams typically have one practice and one game per week against other HHYA Teams.
• All intramural players receive a basketball and a reversible jersey.
• Intramural season runs from mid-December through the end of February.

Clinic Basketball (K - 2nd grade)  

• The Clinic is the foundation of our basketball program and offers 50-minute training sessions for young boys and girls each week.
• Players learn the fundamentals through drills and training from coaches and parent volunteers.
• Sessions anticipated to  take place Sundays from January 4 - March 1, 2026; 
• Participants receive a basketball and HHYA T-shirt.
